WINNERS

After exciting preliminary and semi-final rounds with undoubtedly the highest standard of performers the competition has seen so far, St Martin-in-the-Fields is delighted to announce that Jacquin Trio are the winners of the St Martin’s Chamber Music Competition 2012. Judges were unanimous in their decision siting both the trio’s impeccable precision and musical insight.

St Martin's would like to extend warm thanks to this year’s judging panel who had the difficult task of choosing between three excellent finalists:

Adrian Bradbury (Cellist) Lindsay Kemp (Radio 3 Producer), Robin Osterley (Chief Executive of Making Music), Andrew Earis (Church Music Director at St Martin-in-the-Fields), Paul Archibald (Trumpeter)

Join us on Twitter or Facebook for full details of The Final and to stay in touch with our talented winners as they take up their prize in the 2013 season of a series of concerts around the UK through the Making Music promoter member network.

This year also saw the launch of the Audience Prize. The audience voted for their favourite ensemble during the judges’ deliberations and The Cremona Piano Trio was the extremely well-deserved popular winner.

Congratulations to all three finalists and thanks to all ensembles who entered the 2012 competition.
